SACRED WHOLENESS · EXISTENTIAL ARCHITECTURE
THE ANIMATE VESSEL
A REFLECTIVE QUESTIONNAIRE FOR MAPPING YOUR PRESENT FUNCTIONAL ARCHITECTURE
I · ORIENTATION
READ THE MOVEMENT, NOT THE IDENTITY
The Animate Vessel understands the human as a living ecology whose intelligence moves through seven interdependent functions.
This questionnaire is an entry point into that architecture. It does not assign you a type. It asks you to observe which movements are presently available, which are carrying excess load, which become quieter under pressure and how your procession changes across different states.
Your responses create a provisional map of the system you can presently recognise from within your own experience. They are not a final statement of blueprint.
II · EXISTENTIAL ARCHITECTURE
THE ARCHITECTURE BENEATH THE SCORE
The seven functions form only one layer of the inquiry. A living human also has characteristic ways of sequencing, moving through time and meeting the conditions of an environment.
FUNCTIONAL ARCHITECTURE
The availability, sensitivity and relationship of Topography, Cartography, Translation, Metabolisation, Synthesis, Systematisation and Creation.
PROCESSIONAL ARCHITECTURE
How movements lead, overlap, recur, wait, interrupt, hand over and complete within the ecology.
RHYTHMIC ARCHITECTURE
The tempos, intervals, latency, immersion, oscillation, recovery and rest through which procession becomes possible.
ECOLOGICAL ARCHITECTURE
The relational, sensory, spatial and material conditions that alter what the system can receive, move and return.
The blueprint is revealed in motion: through how the functions meet, sequence, recur, respond and create within a living ecology.
III · THE QUESTIONNAIRE
MAP YOUR PRESENT CIRCUITRY
Answer from your lived experience rather than from the person you believe you should be. The usefulness of the map depends on observing what actually happens within your ecology.
Sacred Wholeness
THE ANIMATE VESSEL
A functional self-inquiry
How does intelligence move through you?
The Animate Vessel is an existential architecture of seven living functions. This inquiry offers a provisional map of how your ecology locates, relates, translates, metabolises, synthesises, systematises and creates: how these movements become available, sequence and overlap, change under load, and participate in the particular choreography of your blueprint.
Existential architecture
Blueprint is the characteristic choreography across all four. State is what that choreography is doing now.
Answer according to how you actually operate across life, relationships, work and creative practice—not how you believe you should operate. The assessment takes approximately 10–15 minutes.
Before you begin
Choose the most accurate response.
Consider your experience during the past six months. There are no desirable answers. A function can be highly available and highly over-recruited at the same time.
Functional architecture
Which movements become most available within your ecology?
Visibility is not the same as blueprint. A movement may be highly available because it is native, because your ecology repeatedly requires it, or because it has become recruited in compensation. Choose the function that feels most accurate for each question.
Please respond to every question before continuing.
Resourced procession
When there is enough capacity, how does movement tend to unfold?
Rank each movement from 1 to 7. Use every number once. This creates one simplified view of procession; your actual blueprint may contain simultaneity, recursion, different tempos and context-dependent sequences.
Please assign each movement a different number from 1 to 7.
Procession under load
When load rises, how does the choreography change?
Rank the same movements according to what tends to become recruited first when capacity narrows, load exceeds margin, or your ecology is attempting to maintain movement.
Please assign each movement a different number from 1 to 7.
IV · INTERPRETATION
A PROFILE IS A BEGINNING
A score can describe present recognisable movement. It cannot, by self-report alone, distinguish enduring blueprint from current state, adaptation, compensation, load or the effects of ecology.
The deeper work is longitudinal: noticing what remains characteristic across seasons, what changes when you are resourced, what becomes recruited under pressure and what conditions restore movement without requiring you to become a different kind of human.
THE CENTRAL INQUIRY
What does this particular living ecology require in order to remain available to its own movement?
V · CONTINUE THE INQUIRY
ENTER THE COMPLETE SYSTEM
The questionnaire offers a view of your Functional Blueprint through the movements you can presently recognise.
The complete Animate Vessel system moves beyond the profile into the functional, processional, rhythmic and ecological architecture of the living human: how the seven functions move, meet, sequence, recur and create within a particular ecology.
